About the role
Staff Platform Engineer to own reliability, scalability, and observability of Hevo's data pipeline infrastructure on AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes. Hands-on senior role setting technical direction for Platform/DevOps, leading incident management, and mentoring engineers.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end reliability and performance of production infrastructure on AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes
- Design and evolve observability stack including metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and SLOs
- Lead incident management, on-call rotations, and postmortems to reduce MTTA/MTTR
- Drive infrastructure-as-code practices with Terraform and Ansible, and own CI/CD pipelines
- Architect and operate Kubernetes clusters at scale, including upgrades and cost optimization
- Mentor platform engineers and set technical direction
What they're looking for
- 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform engineering, including Staff/Lead level experience
- Deep hands-on expertise with production Kubernetes at scale
- Strong AWS expertise (EC2, VPC, EKS, RDS, IAM, networking)
- Experience building observability stacks (OTel, Grafana, Telegraf, Influx or similar)
- Strong scripting/automation skills in Python, Go, or Bash
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform and Ansible
