About the role
Senior DevOps Engineer owning Karat's AWS SaaS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and observability to keep the hosted platform reliable, secure and cost-efficient. Partners with software engineers on developer experience and SRE practices. Requires schedule overlap with US business hours.
What you'll do
- Own and evolve AWS SaaS infrastructure for security, reliability and cost
- Design and operate CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI and related tooling
- Build observability with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards and alerting via Datadog
- Apply SRE principles: reliability, capacity planning, incident response, root-cause analysis
- Influence engineering-wide technical decisions and delivery practices
What they're looking for
- 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure or platform engineering
- Significant hands-on AWS production experience (required)
- CI/CD systems experience (CircleCI strongly preferred)
- Strong Docker and containerized environments experience
- Linux, networking, security and cloud fundamentals
- SRE and observability experience (Datadog strongly preferred)
