About the role
Develops and releases ECAD symbols, footprints, and 3D models for semiconductor products using Altium Designer. Ensures quality and automation in library development for new product launches.
What you'll do
- Create and review ECAD symbols, footprints, and 3D models
- Verify datasheets and package drawings for compliance
- Develop packages like QFN, BGA, etc.
- Drive ECAD quality through reviews and process improvements
- Collaborate with global teams and vendors
- Mentor junior engineers
What they're looking for
- Strong Altium Designer experience
- Expertise in ECAD symbol/footprint/3D model development
- Knowledge of IPC-7351 and PCB manufacturing
- Ability to interpret datasheets and pin functions
- Experience with Python, Altium Scripting, VBA
- Familiarity with Jira and ECAD library workflows
