About the role
Principal Software Architect to lead the evolution of Konovo’s AI-enabled platform ecosystem, define architectural foundations, and provide architectural leadership across eight product-anchored engineering pods. Reports to Head of Technology and works UK hours.
What you'll do
- Own the architecture review process across all engineering teams
- Establish architectural standards, engineering policies, and governance frameworks
- Define reusable patterns and reference architectures
- Lead platform modernization including API-first, event-driven systems, and cloud optimization
- Define architecture patterns for AI-native products and partner with Data and AI teams
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders

- Strong background in scalable, secure, and maintainable platform design
- Experience with API-first architectures, event-driven systems, and cloud optimization
- Ability to influence product and technology roadmaps
- Experience with AI/ML and generative AI architecture
