About the role
Staff Software Engineer (Backend) building cloud-native distributed systems in Java/Spring for Celonis Labs. The role involves technical leadership, ownership of implementation and delivery, and collaborating across geographies to bring new product ideas to life.

- Own implementation and delivery of assigned projects
- Demonstrate technical leadership in the engineering team
- Ensure high quality and continuously improve procedures and practices
- Work with engineers, project managers and designers across geographies
- Brainstorm, research and bring new solutions to life with Celonis Labs
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's or master's in a technical field or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 7+ years as Backend Engineer with Java, Spring, JPA, Hibernate
- Experience building cloud-native distributed systems
- Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem and hyperscalers such as AWS
- Deep understanding of modern engineering practices (Git, CI/CD, testing)
