About the role
Senior QA Automation Engineer to architect and expand automated testing frameworks across web, mobile, and backend products. Uses Playwright and native mobile testing tools to drive testing strategies and ensure bug-free, performant user experience.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and scale automated test frameworks for Web and Mobile using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript/Python) and native mobile frameworks (Appium, Detox, XCUITest, or Espresso)
- Perform API testing and SQL/database verification to ensure data flow and system reliability
- Conduct performance and load testing using tools such as k6 or JMeter, embedding security best practices
- Partner cross-functionally to analyze requirements, anticipate blockers, and establish test strategies
- Debug complex multi-system issues, drive root cause analysis, and turn defects into improvements
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and champion Spec-Driven Development and agentic AI workflows
What they're looking for
- 5+ years experience as QA Automation Engineer with ownership of large-scope initiatives
- Strong hands-on experience architecting automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python
- Deep expertise in Web and Mobile testing methodologies and native mobile frameworks like Appium, Detox, XCUITest, or Espresso
- Proficiency in REST API validation, complex SQL/database verification, and performance/load testing frameworks like k6 or JMeter
- Understanding of agile processes, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI), and security/penetration testing fundamentals
- Fluency with Spec-Driven Development and agentic AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to design self-correcting test harnesses
