About the role
Senior Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams building scalable cloud-native core platform systems such as billing, monetization, metering, or high-throughput distributed services. Owns technical strategy, operational excellence, and delivery roadmap. Partners with Product, Finance, GTM leaders to align platform capabilities with business strategy.
What you'll do
- Drive long-term technical vision and architecture for core platform services
- Lead, recruit, and mentor engineering teams and managers
- Partner with Product, Finance, Pricing, Customer Success to translate business workflows into scalable technology
- Establish engineering practices, operational standards, SLAs/SLOs
- Drive predictable execution on platform roadmaps
- Simplify complex technical choices for executive stakeholders
What they're looking for
- 15+ years overall software engineering experience
- 5+ years in engineering management leading multi-disciplinary teams or managers of managers
- Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, microservices, APIs, cloud-native architectures, large-scale data platforms
- Proven experience building shared platform capabilities (billing, metering, subscriptions, monetization, or core SaaS infrastructure)
- Ability to lead with vision and strategy
- Experience coaching engineering managers and senior technical leads
- Ability to execute with excellence and drive operational discipline
