About the role
TraceLink seeks a Senior Product Manager for Canonical Transactions to define and scale reusable canonical transaction models for multi-enterprise value chains. The role involves converting complex workflows into standards-aligned product specifications and guiding models from design through adoption and lifecycle governance.
What you'll do
- Own a portfolio of canonical transactions across order management, procurement, planning, manufacturing, inventory, warehousing, logistics, transportation, customs, finance, master data, and operational messaging
- Research end-to-end business processes including transaction triggers, roles, responses, exceptions, regulatory implications, and system-of-record behavior
- Normalize business concepts across global data standards (JSON/XML, ANSI X12, SAP IDoc, UN/EDIFACT, GS1, etc.) and ERP APIs
- Define canonical object structures, components, identifiers, references, parties, locations, dates, quantities, amounts, statuses, code lists, conditions, loops, cardinality, and validation rules
- Design canonical schema data structures for reuse across partner roles such as buyers, suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, warehouses, carriers, retailers, and regulatory stakeholders
- Produce canonical transaction specifications and guide them through testing, release, adoption, and lifecycle governance
What they're looking for
- Experience in product management, multi-enterprise business processes, B2B standards, enterprise applications, and data modeling
- Ability to determine business meaning of transactions, reconcile industry standards and customer variants, and define durable canonical models
- Knowledge of global data standards such as JSON/XML, ANSI X12, SAP IDoc, UN/EDIFACT, GS1, ODETTE, VDA, UBL, Peppol
- Experience with ERP system APIs and data modeling
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and specification-writing skills
