Principal AI Engineer owning target-state architecture for Smartsheet's AI platform, including agent harness, sub-agent framework, knowledge graph, and retrieval/grounding patterns. Acts as primary technical lead for strategic partners like Databricks, AWS, and Anthropic.
What you'll do
- Own target-state architecture for AI platform, defining standards across Data, Agents, Knowledge Graph, Context Graph
- Set architecture for agent harness and sub-agent framework including orchestration, lifecycle, Evals
- Design schema/ontology, ingestion, freshness pipelines, and retrieval/grounding patterns
- Build and maintain reference agent framework and shared skills/tools library
- Stand up prototypes to de-risk architecture decisions and define promotion criteria
- Serve as primary technical lead for strategic technology partners (Databricks, AWS, Anthropic)
