About the role
Firmware Architect in NXP's NFC Firmware organization, defining and delivering low-level platform firmware architectures close to silicon. Owns firmware modules and platform subsystems from design through tapeout readiness, pre-silicon validation, and post-silicon bring-up for RISC-V/ARM platforms.
What you'll do
- Define and support firmware architecture for RISC-V/ARM platforms
- Derive firmware requirements from system, hardware, PCRM and customer specs
- Design firmware subsystems and low-level software components
- Review design and code, provide technical guidance to teams
- Own firmware modules from design through integration and bring-up
- Support tapeout readiness and silicon bring-up activities
What they're looking for
- 8-12 years embedded firmware development experience
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics & Communication or Power Electronics
- C programming and assembly, 8/16/32-bit platforms
- Low-level firmware: boot flows, interrupts, memory maps, SPI/I2C/UART
- RISC-V and ARM architecture experience
- RTOS concepts and hands-on usage
