About the role
Capco seeks a senior Java backend developer to design and build microservices, Kafka-based pipelines, and cloud-native solutions on GCP/AWS. The role involves leading API framework design, driving technical solutions from requirements, and collaborating with global stakeholders in financial services transformation projects.
What you'll do
- Design and develop technical solutions based on business and functional requirements
- Lead API framework design and development
- Build and maintain microservices with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Kubernetes
- Assess and drive application and process improvements across global stakeholders
- Proactively report risks, issues, and progress to stakeholders
- Analyze production incidents and root cause analysis for delivered features
What they're looking for
- 10+ years backend development experience
- Strong Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kafka skills
- Experience with TDD, BDD, and database basics
- Hands-on with GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, and containers
- Experience with SOAP and REST web services
- Knowledge of Camunda BPM and AWS ECS3 is a plus
