About the role
A GCP Platform Engineer role building and automating Google Cloud infrastructure for large-scale data engineering projects. The engineer designs IaC with Terraform, manages core GCP services, and maintains CI/CD and monitoring for a secure, scalable data platform.
What you'll do
- Design, build and maintain scalable GCP infrastructure using Terraform IaC
- Provision and manage GCP services including VPC, IAM, GCS, BigQuery, Compute, CloudSQL, Dataflow, Dataproc and Composer
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting for platform health
- Support data engineers with infrastructure needs and ensure security and compliance
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years hands-on GCP experience
- Proficiency in Terraform / IaC
- Scripting in Python or Bash
- Networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, firewalls)
- CI/CD tools such as Cloud Build, Jenkins or GitLab CI
