About the role
Technical lead role in AMETEK's Power Protection & Quality Solutions R&D team designing high-frequency three-phase UPS power electronics. Owns projects from concept through commercialization, prototype integration, and design verification. Hardware engineering leadership, not a software product role.
What you'll do
- Design and develop power electronics for high-frequency three-phase and single-phase online UPS systems
- Oversee assembly and integration of electronic prototypes
- Manage assigned projects from concept through commercialization
- Validate power stages and perform design verification testing
- Implement upgrades and new features for existing product lines
- Troubleshoot hardware issues, root cause analysis, and maintain product documentation
What they're looking for
- BE/BTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (master's a plus)
- 6+ years developing power conversion products (UPS, battery chargers, AC drive)
- High-frequency magnetics design experience
- EMI/EMC mitigation techniques
- Experience with analog, digital, and microcontroller circuits
- Willingness to use AI tools for productivity and decision-making
