Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test

About the role
As a Sr. SDET at Swiggy, you will own test automation strategy for web and mobile modules, build and enhance automation frameworks, and ensure comprehensive functional and non-functional testing. You will work hands-on across multiple projects and report test coverage to stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Set up and implement test automation strategy for functional and non-functional testing.
- Create optimal test strategy and test plans for short and long-term projects.
- Add new capabilities and features to the automation framework used by QA team.
- Manage and maintain test coverage through periodic reports.
- Find innovative ways to optimize test strategy for maximum ROI.
- Contribute hands-on to single or multiple projects simultaneously.
What they're looking for
- 4-6 years of experience.
- Experience with visual regression, accessibility, performance testing, CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), flaky-test management, component testing.
- Experience creating test strategy and test plans.
- Understanding of mobile app and web automation (Appium/Selenium/TypeScript).
- Implementation-level experience with design patterns.
- Prior experience creating test automation frameworks and self-serve tools.
- Automation experience for REST web services using Java.
- Strong SQL skills with joins.
