About the role
Staff validation engineer and technical lead in Renesas's Silicon Validation team, driving post-silicon validation of DC-DC converter and power management ICs. Owns validation test plans, hands-on bring-up and debug, PCB/fixture design input, and mentoring junior engineers.
What you'll do
- Lead post-silicon validation of DC-DC converter products
- Develop validation test plans from bring-up to characterization
- Perform hands-on silicon bring-up, debug, and characterization
- Lead root cause analysis of complex silicon issues
- Design test setups, validation boards, and fixtures
- Mentor junior validation engineers
What they're looking for
- 9+ years hands-on post-silicon validation
- Focus on DC-DC converters and power management ICs
- DC-DC topologies: Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, LDO, Gate Drivers
- Knowledge of efficiency, ripple, load transient, stability, EMI/EMC
- Lab equipment experience (oscilloscopes, SMUs, etc.)
- PCB schematics and layout review
