About the role
Staff engineer role in the JioAds/ad-tech team, owning design and delivery of large-scale, low-latency advertising backend systems end to end, and mentoring other engineers.
What you'll do
- Design and build scalable microservices for the ad-tech stack
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex backend projects from design to monitoring
- Drive architectural decisions and long-term engineering strategy
- Collaborate with product, data science and cross-functional teams
- Ensure operational excellence: performance tuning, incident response, root cause analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and lead code reviews
What they're looking for
- Proficiency in Java, Golang or Python
- Experience designing distributed systems at scale
- Understanding of storage, query performance and caching
- Hands-on with AWS, Kafka and CI/CD pipelines
- Autonomy and delivery management in fast-paced environments
- Bachelors/Masters in CS with 6-9 years backend experience
