About the role
A staff deep learning engineer role on the Hivemind SDK State Estimation & Vision team. The work builds learned components for vision-based navigation, owning the model development pipeline from data to deployment. It is an IC deep-learning/computer-vision specialism, not management.
What you'll do
- Develop models for feature matching, depth estimation, pose estimation, and localization
- Combine learned representations with geometric methods
- Own data preparation, annotation, and training workflows
- Design evaluations and integrate learned measurements into VIO/navigation systems
- Profile models against onboard compute and latency constraints
What they're looking for
- M.S. in Aerospace/EE/Robotics/CS or related; 4+ years with M.S. or 2+ with Ph.D.
- Hands-on PyTorch or equivalent model development
- Foundations in camera models, projective and multi-view geometry
- Experience in vision-based navigation, SfM, SLAM, 3D reconstruction, or depth estimation
