Senior individual contributor role owning critical backend systems end-to-end, influencing technical direction across teams, and driving platform-level architecture decisions. Involves mentoring engineers and partnering with leadership on long-term technical strategy.
What you'll do
- Design and evolve scalable backend systems with architecture trade-offs
- Drive architecture decisions across services and influence platform direction
- Build and evolve APIs powering core product workflows
- Own services/modules end-to-end including scalability and stability
- Mentor engineers and raise system design and code quality bar
- Use AI tools to improve engineering quality and velocity
What they're looking for
- 7-10 years backend development in product environments
- Strong backend fundamentals; Python, Django/Flask a plus
- Experience designing distributed or high-scale systems in production
- Strong system design skills with HLD and LLD
- Ability to reason about performance, reliability, cost, maintainability
- Experience influencing cross-team technical decisions
