About the role
SoC Hardware Architect in NXP's MPU Engineering SoC Hardware Architecture team. Owns system-level SoC platform architecture, including HW/SW partitioning, interconnect, memory controllers and IP selection, balancing performance, power and area for automotive, edge and radar product lines.
What you'll do
- Architect complex SoCs with multiple processors and coherent/non-coherent interconnects
- Deliver architecture specs covering use-cases, HW/SW partitioning and KPIs
- Collaborate with design and execution teams through the product lifecycle
- Develop specs for internal and third-party IP; run make-vs-buy analysis
- Define scalable system-level SoC platform architectures across product tiers
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's in EE or similar with 15+ years relevant experience
- Deep knowledge of ARM architecture specifications
- Experience architecting complex SoCs in leading-edge process nodes
- Exposure to ISO 26262-compliant and mixed-criticality architectures
- Expertise in interconnect, DDR memories, QoS, power/state management, PCIe, USB or networking
- Track record assessing performance, power and area tradeoffs
