About the role
Senior Product Manager owning JetBrains Context, a managed retrieval layer providing codebase knowledge to AI coding agents. Hands-on role bridging engineering, ML, and cross-functional teams to define vision, metrics, and integrations.
What you'll do
- Build deep understanding of chunking, embeddings, index freshness, retrieval, and reranking
- Define and defend opinionated product vision including target audiences and success metrics
- Translate strategy into problem statements, priorities, plans, and milestones
- Communicate product direction to engineering, leadership, stakeholders, and customers
- Analyze competing context and code-search products to establish differentiators
- Define operational and product metrics like index freshness, retrieval quality, and unit economics
What they're looking for
- Proven experience owning a complex developer, platform, or infrastructure product end to end
- Comfort with technical depth across embeddings, retrieval quality, sub-agents, tool-calling, indexing costs, and API design
- Well-argued point of view on AI-first development and agent context needs
- Data-informed approach combining telemetry, evaluation results, and market signals
- Clear communication adapting to engineers, architects, and conference audiences
