About the role
SDET-1 role writing and maintaining automated test scripts for web, mobile, or backend applications. Part of an engineering culture treating test automation as first-class software development, with AI tool usage.
What you'll do
- Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts under guidance
- Execute basic performance and load test scripts
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects using Jira
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and manual QA testers
- Run regression, integration, and system tests during deployment cycles
- Participate in peer code reviews for test scripts
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent bootcamp/hands-on experience)
- Strong fundamental programming skills in at least one core language: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#
- Hands-on experience with Git (branching, merging, pull requests)
- Exposure to cloud technologies like Azure, AWS (preferred)
- Experience with issue-tracking tools (Jira)
- Ability to use AI coding assistants
