Product Manager - Clinical Data Science & GenAI

About the role
Owns the Clinical Data Science product area for athenahealth's AI-native EHR, defining vision, roadmap, and business cases for ML, generative AI, and evaluation capabilities that power clinical AI experiences. Acts as Product Owner for Scrum teams and partners across data science, engineering, design, and patient safety.
What you'll do
- Define product vision, business cases, and roadmap for Clinical Data Science
- Serve as Product Owner: define epics, user stories, prioritize backlog and trade-offs
- Own end-to-end product development lifecycle from problem definition to measured outcomes
- Establish and monitor performance measures for product outcomes, risks, opportunities
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Patient Safety, Legal leaders
- Define use-case-specific evaluation strategies, benchmarks, success metrics, and release criteria for GenAI

- Bachelor's degree required; CS, Data Science, Business or related preferred
- Minimum 8+ years of Product Management or related experience
- Healthcare or healthcare technology experience preferred
- Practical experience developing generative AI solutions with LLMs: prompt engineering, RAG, model APIs
- Experience with LLM evaluation methods including deterministic evaluations
