About the role
Backend Engineer role on a relaunched technology marketplace, owning Node.js/TypeScript microservices behind a GraphQL federation. Covers billing, subscriptions, catalog, RBAC, proxy control plane and analytics on AWS EKS with Kafka and ClickHouse.
What you'll do
- Design, ship and run Node.js/TypeScript services behind GraphQL federation
- Own billing, subscription, overage and payout flows accurate to the cent
- Maintain GraphQL subgraphs with clean boundaries and RBAC
- Build proxy management APIs and background workers
- Produce/consume Kafka and Kinesis events with idempotency
- Participate in on-call and lead incident investigations

- REST and GraphQL API design (federation)
