About the role
Contract senior full-stack engineer to build a voice-based conversational AI practice for a US insurance training business. Owns a two-way voice prototype, LLM/speech integration, LMS launch, scoring and coaching PDFs.
What you'll do
- Assess LMS capabilities and prototypes, document feasibility and costs
- Build a two-way voice prototype with turn-taking and interruption handling
- Implement persona-driven customer simulation separate from assessment
- Convert training material into versioned scenarios and rubrics
- Implement scoring, coaching PDFs and usage limits
- Deploy and maintain the app, manage environments and secrets
What they're looking for
- Prior ownership of a working two-way voice or conversational product
- Strong TypeScript and React frontend with browser audio
- Backend in Python (FastAPI) or Node.js with TypeScript
- REST APIs, WebSockets/WebRTC, auth and relational modeling
- Practical LLM and speech service integration
- Experience with LMS integration and deployments
